Galatians 5 ‘I say then: Walk in the #Spirit, and you shall not fulfil the #lust of the #flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another so that you do not do the things that you wish. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.’
Now the #works of the #flesh are evident, which are: #lewdness, #idolatry, #sorcery, #hatred, #contentions, #jealousies, #outbursts of #wrath, #selfish #ambitions, #dissensions, #heresies, #envy, #murders, #drunkenness, #revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the #kingdom of #God.’
But the #fruit of the Spirit is #love, #joy, #peace, #longsuffering, #kindness, #goodness, #faithfulness, #gentleness, #self-control. Against such, there is no law. And those who are #Christ’s have #crucified the flesh with its #passions and #desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.
If the Holy Spirit is in you let Him have control over your life. If He lives in you let Him direct your life. Walking in the spirit simply means you make no decisions until you hear from Him. We surrender our will and give complete control over to His government. The key to this walk is found in three words – JUST SAY YES- Say yes to all the promises of God and believe the Holy Spirit to accomplish this in and through you.

Tom Johnston wrote China Grove and the Doobie Brother released it in 1973. China Grove is no doubt about it, a Rock n’ Roll classic that was sandwiched between two other classic rock standards. Long Train Running and Black Water. China Grove went to #15 on the Hot 100 and #8 on the Cashbox chart here in the states. It also hit the top 10 in Canada, Known for its iconic guitar riff that has influenced so many who would come after. Here are the two principals of the early 70s Doobies Tom Johnston and Pat Simmons, now rock and roll hall of famers. Who will give us the origin of this beloved tune.
