Interview Anyone In History? Dan Fogelberg | 3 Songs | The Professor of Rock

Hey There Music Junkies, The Professor of Rock here with your latest Pop Fix. This week we drop the needle on 3 songs from Dan Fogelberg. In my opinion Dan Fogelberg has the most sincere voice out of any generation. When the song called for deeply intense emotion, He would answer, every time. In reference to the song “Longer” Dan said “I was lounging in a hammock one night, looking up at the stars, it just seems that this song was drifting around the universe, it saw me and decided I’d give it a good home”. This quote provides such a testament to Dan’s humility and sincerity. Highly respected session player, Jerry Hey, gives us his take on spending time with Dan Fogelberg in the studio.OFFICIAL MUSIC PAGE: https://www.danfogelberg.com AMAZON: LIVE ALBUM: http://bit.ly/danamzn AMAZON: LINK TO TRIBUTE ALBUM: http://bit.ly/danamzn2Dan Fogelberg Music:Dan Fogelberg Artist Page: https://open.spotify.com/artist/0cA5Tg15TwARIRZeiNT1RO?si=Sy3RQmSnRRC5EAsrgbB5eATribute Album: https://open.spotify.com/album/5o8C1SmvPY3AylcCdhpQCF?si=SJwb5D2MT3uEP5vzW-DVoQLonger: https://open.spotify.com/track/56ilrbKJF2bph5W6eZaM5E?si=kj-2yOEwSC2PHXQtxGWtmQSame Old Lang Syne: https://open.spotify.com/track/0juQNDN4EdiuG97rgKywkF?si=gmImLXQXQAuqf1-yiFzvewLeader Of The Band: https://open.spotify.com/track/3O4s2m47MFhnGqmpkjoKYk?si=fPaHfMJISSK0QEMV3qqp9AWatch our Latest Mini Doc:“Keep On Loving You” by REO Speedwagon https://professorofrock.com/keep-on-loving-you/#danfogelberg #longer #album—More Professor of Rock:Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/professorofrock/Twitter: https://twitter.com/professororockInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/professorofrock/?hl=enWebsite: https://www.professorofrock.com__Help us keep the music alive!

Benny Mardones. We at Professor of Rock along with so many of you mourn the loss of this tender soul, who’s hit “Into the Night” charted 3 different times on the charts, including twice in the 80s. We covered this song in the inaugural episode of Number One in our Hearts, because it absolutely should’ve been a number one hit. I still maintain that Benny’s vocal performance for those few moments could go toe to toe with any voice on any song in music history. We were so fortunate to spend a few hours talking to Benny about his songs, his career and most of all, getting to know him as a human being.. It’s one of my favorite interviews. Since then we’ve had some wonderful correspondences over the years. Anyone who knew Benny can attest to the fact that Benny was humble, sweet, extremely caring, and deeply proud of the music he created. He really loved music and his fans. Most of all, Benny was a fighter. We’ve lost some great ones in music lately, and that’s why sharing this history is so important. That’s why sharing these songs and artists with our kids and their kids is paramount. We’re just never going to see artists and songs like these again. I hope I’m wrong. I really do. Here is the story of Benny’s tremendous smash hit Into The Night from Benny himself. We love you Benny. Thank you for the music
