The literal translation is, “That it may be for future generations, for the latter days.” The 30th chapter of Isaiah is God’s message to this latter day church. These words describe an endless cycle that repeated itself in Israel for generations.Throughout the preceding chapters, we find these words repeated again and again. They read, in essence, “And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the Lord, and served Baalim…and God, in his hot anger, sold them into the hand of their enemies.”The first instance occurs in chapter 3. We’re told, “The land had rest forty years…and the children of Israel did evil again in the sight of the Lord” (3:11-12). God gave his people over to an enemy, Moab, “because they had done evil in the sight of the Lord” (3:12). And Israel served this heathen enemy for eighteen years, enduring hardship and terror.Then, in chapter 4, we read, “And the children of Israel did evil again in the sight of the Lord…and the Lord sold them into the hand of Jabin king of Canaan” (4:1-2). This time God’s people were made captive by the Canaanites.Of course, every time Israel was enslaved, they cried out to God. And each time, the Lord was faithful to send them a deliverer. But as soon as that righteous leader died, the people predictably returned to their sin. And the whole cycle began all over again. It continues with our text verse, in chapter 6: “And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the Lord: and the Lord delivered them into the hand of Midian seven years” (6:1).During this period, Israel was continually brought low by their enemy Midian. Like clockwork, the Midianites raided Israel each year, plundering their crops and goods. Midian’s caravan leaders would release all their camels and livestock into Israel’s fields to graze. And the beasts completely devoured the crops, sweeping through the fields like locusts.Whenever Israel resisted, the Midianites drove them into the hills and mountains. God’s people ended up seeking refuge in caves and dens, and having to scavenge for food. “And Israel was greatly impoverished because of the Midianites” (6:6). Israel lost everything to their enemy: their houses, their food, their goods. They lived like paupers, homeless and bereft.Once again, Scripture says, “The children of Israel cried unto the Lord” (6:6). Yet this cry wasn’t one of repentance. Israel cried because of their oppression by the Midianites. It was a cry of anguish, due to their poverty, their losses, their insecurity.This time, before God sent a deliverer to Israel, he sent a prophet. This man of God put his finger on the reason the people were being so harassed. He pointed out, “Look at your history. In each case, God delivered you out of the hands of all who oppressed you. He brought you out of bondage in Egypt. And he told you not to fear the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But you haven’t obeyed him. You still pay homage to false gods” (see 6:8-10).The Lord was telling his people, in essence, “I made it clear to you from the very beginning: you are not to fear anyone but your heavenly Father. Let no other fear enter your heart. But you’ve disobeyed me once again. You’ve allowed all kinds of fears to enter in. Walking in the spirit simply means you make no decisions until you hear from Him. We surrender our will and give complete control over to His government. The key to this walk is found in three words – JUST SAY YES- Say yes to all the promises of God and believe the Holy Spirit to accomplish this in and through you.

What is this mystery of God? In the New Testament, the word ‘mystery’ occurs a number of times. It means a secret which cannot be understood without God’s revelation. It is not a secret that cannot be understood at all, but one that only God can reveal. The mysteries mentioned in the New Testament can basically be summed up under two heads:(1) The mystery of godliness (1 Tim. 3:16); and(2) The mystery of iniquity (2 Thess. 2:7).The mystery of godliness is the truth. The mystery of iniquity is the lie.The “mystery of godliness” can be divided into three parts.(a) The first part of this mystery of godliness is mentioned in 1 Tim.3:16. In the previous verse, the church is called “the pillar and support of the truth” (v.15). Of which truth? The one mentioned in the next verse: “Great is the mystery of godliness; Christ was manifest in the flesh and was pure in the spirit, beheld by the angels, proclaimed among the nations.” The essential message here is that Jesus Christ came as a Man like us and was yet pure in His spirit. So we too need not sin. We can walk as He walked. (1 Jn.2:6). That is `the truth’. The church is to be a pillar upholding this truth! But unfortunately, the church through the ages has not held up this truth.(b) The second part of the mystery of godliness is mentioned in Eph.5:31, 32. 1 Tim. 3:16 referred to a great mystery. Here too we see a great mystery – the mystery of Christ and the church being one flesh. Jesus Christ has now got a bride (the church) – who also walks as He walked, keeping her spirit pure.(c) The third part of the mystery is mentioned in 1 Cor. 15:51,52, where we are told how we will be transformed into the likeness of Christ in the twinkling of an eye, when Jesus comes and the last trumpet sounds.Now we come to “the mystery of iniquity” (2 Thess.2:7)- which is basically that Satan also manifests himself in the flesh – finally as the Antichrist.In verses 9-11, we read of Satan working through the spirit of the antichrist with lying signs and wonders and the deception of wickedness to deceive people. We also read of God sending a deluding influence upon those who don’t receive the love of the truth so as to be saved – “so that they might all believe THE LIE” (v.11 – Literal).What is the lie referred to here? It is the lie that Satan told Eve in the garden of Eden: “You can sin and get away with it. God won’t punish you.”That is the greatest lie that Satan has deceived the world with. Even many believers believe that lie of Satan!! The mystery of iniquity is that this lie has worked and worked and drawn many into deception. This culminates in false Christendom giving Satan a bride – Babylon! Barely any preachers these days would even dare to preach on this subject but how sad that falls from the new testament normal of hell as a normal doctrine taught and discussed. Jesus spoke of hell more then heaven, listen carefully and know that there is a #eternal hell.This message is a very vivid and powerful description of the nature of hell. David describes the physical #sufferings of the sensation of burning for eternity. He also delves into the mental sufferings due to the conscience replaying every lost opportunity that the sinner had to receive #Christ while #alive. There is also a description of the spiritual sufferings of the sense of drifting further and further from God for eternity. David speaks of the sad truth that most of mankind will be going to hell and that most church parishioners are also going to hell because they are not truly saved and are not really following Jesus with their lives. This message is a very powerful and shocking wake up call to anyone who has not yet made a true decision to follow Christ.
