How to cope with anxiety | Olivia Remes | TEDxUHasselt

Anxiety is one of most prevalent mental health disorders, with 1 out of 14 people around the world being likely affected. Leading up to conditions such as depression, increased risk for suicide, disability and requirement of high health services, very few people who often need treatment actually receive it. In her talk “How to cope with anxiety”, Olivia Remes of the University of Cambridge will share her vision on anxiety and will unravel ways to treat and manage this health disorder. Arguing that treatments such as psychotherapy and medication exist and often result in poor outcome and high rates of relapses, she will emphasise the importance of harnessing strength in ourselves as we modify our problem-coping mechanisms. Olivia will stress that by allowing ourselves to believe that what happens in life is comprehensive, meaningful, and manageable, one can significantly improve their risk of developing anxiety disorders.Anxiety is one of most prevalent mental health disorders, with 1 out of 14 people around the world being likely affected. Marie Harf’s #JobsForISIS nonsense busted in Belgium

Multiple news outlets are reporting thatNajim Laachraoui, one of the suicide bombers in the terror attack on Brussels’ airport, had a summer job cleaningthe European parliament in 2009 and 2010. So much for Marie Harf’s and this administration’s claims that we can defeat ISIS with jobs:

Maybe it was a job non-terrorist Belgians won’t do?

Contagious Laughter On A Busy Train Will Have You Laughing Right Along With Everyone

When you think of the subway, laughter and joy aren’t normally the first words that come to mind. It’s a cramped place full of grumpy commuters, and there’s always someone who decides it’s an apt location to eat a smelly tuna sandwich or clip their fingernails. Yet sometimes, if you’re super lucky, everything comes together in one magical moment that brightens everyone’s day.

One such joyful moment was perfectly captured when Belgian advertising agency Gonzales — working for Coca-Cola off the tagline that “Happiness starts with a smile” — hired an actor to randomly start belly laughing on the subway.

Just watch…we dare you to try and not let out a giggle, too!

Awesome. This just shows that happiness is contagious!
