That Which I Love Destroys Me
That Which I Love Destroys Me is a unique and powerful film by director Ric Roman Waugh. TWILDM is an uncensored look at the current epidemic of PTSD and severe mental trauma that create tremendous challenges for returning service members. A five-year labor of love, TWILDM followed two Special Operations Soldiers as they returned home after fighting in the longest combat campaign in American history only to face a new battle; the effects and stigma of PTSD and reintegration as a whole. But more importantly, the documentary addresses how they’re overcoming these issues.

Anne McLellan Lecture and Panel. School of Public Health and Health Systems
On May 8, 2017, to celebrate the University of Waterloo School of Public Health and Health Systems’ (SPHHS) 40th anniversary, the School hosted a public lecture titled The Legalization and Regulation of Cannabis – What Does It All Mean?, featuring the Honourable A. Anne McLellan, P.C., O.C., A.O.E.
Canada is about to become the only G-20 country to legalize and regulate cannabis at the national level. This will require a transformation, both of thinking and practice. What will this mean for public health and public safety? What will a new regulated market look like?
The lecture is followed by a panel discussion featuring Liana Nolan, Waterloo Medical Officer of Health, Jonathan Zaid, SPHHS undergraduate student and advocate for medical marijuana use, and Chris Perlman, SPHHS faculty member.
