These Firefighters And Wildlife Workers Go Above And Beyond To Save A Koala.

Apparently, Australians take their koalas very seriously. And who can blame them? The eucalyptus-chomping marsupials are so darn cute. When Melbourne firefighters were alerted to an injured koala stuck in a tree, they didn’t waste a moment coming to its aid.

Nicknamed “Sir Chompsalot” by his rescuers, the fluffy herbivore was able to make a full recovery after receiving CPR and mouth-to-mouth from a Wildlife Victoria employee who joined in on the firefighters’ life saving mission.

That’s right: koala mouth-to-mouth.

He fell from his post high in a tree, luckily landing in the blankets firefighters held on the ground.

After massaging his lungs in an attempt to start his breathing, the wildlife expert took one for the team while waiting for the oxygen mask to arrive.

This Has Got To Be One Of The Worst Ways To Die — Poor Spider

Making mistakes is a part of life for people and animals alike, but some flubs have much deadlier consequences than others.

Take the fishing spider, for example. Instead of catching prey in a web, it usually sits right at the edge of a body of water, then attacks when it detects ripples from movement. While it is mostly seen as a predator, it can become the victim of an attack if it picks the wrong spot, like this unfortunate creature.

When this spider walked onto the top of a Washington beekeeper’s hive to presumably stalk its prey, it likely realized that making a sudden movement was the worst thing it could have possibly done.

What a horrible way to die.

When it comes to protecting their queen, bees don’t mess around. Sorry, spider, but you were really asking for it by invading their colony.

Have you ever met someone who said they weren’t a “dog person”? They’re rare, but they are out there. And they are idiots. Smart people know the truth: dogs are 100% the best. They’re like four legged balls of fluffy love and loyalty.

There are some amazing canines who go above and beyond to bring safety and comfort to others. You’d be hard-pressed to find a human who’s this selfless. Take a look.

1.) Minta: Before 8 year old Jacob met Minta, his severe autism made it difficult for him to communicate and he was so lonely he hardly ever smiled. Now the two are inseparable and Jacob’s confidence grows everyday.

2.) Kabang: This Philippines pup might shock you when you first see her, but her facial injuries were a result of rescuing to little girls from an oncoming motorcycle.

3.) Killan: This distinguished dog’s owners noticed it acting strangely aggressive to the babysitter of their 7-month old son. Based on the odd behavior, they left a camera to record the sitter the next time she came to watch the infant and discovered she had been physically and verbally abusing the small child.

4.) Zoey: Tiny but fierce, this chihuahua stepped in between her owner’s infant child and a rattlesnake. She suffered a bite just above her eyes but made a full recovery.

It’s Still Not Ideal, But I’d Take This Type Of Shark Attack Over Any Other.

This has to be the rarest of all shark attacks, and thank goodness for that!

A shark swam up to this guy in the water, preparing to pounce. What happens isn’t your average attack… but it’s disgusting. I suppose it is less disgusting than being ripped to shreds, though. It’s certainly not as painful.

Little Dog Passes Out From Overwhelming Joy When Reunited With This Girl.

Anyone who thinks dogs don’t have feelings must not know many dogs. Casey the Schnauzer was away from her momma who was living abroad for two years. When the young woman came home… Casey just couldn’t handle all of the happy. The little dog was so filled with joy, she actually fainted. This is the kind of welcome home you’d never, ever forget. (To be fair on Casey though, that is like 14 years in dog years, a long time to be away from a loved one.)

Picture day only comes once every school year, but the results can haunt you for the rest of your adult life.

My best friend and I spent the other night looking through old yearbooks and began mocking just how un-photogenic we were. Despite prepping days in advance, picking out the right outfit and posing in front of the mirror, without fail, when it came time to say cheese, something went wrong.

Wearing glasses in high school always meant that my photos came with the added bonus of a reflective glare. But not everyone can be so lucky to be remembered as the squinting guy that looks like the sun’s in his eyes. In fact, most people are quite a bit more photogenic than they think. Even their pets can pull off better school photos than I can.
