Meh.
That could be improved:
@PaulBegala You want McCain for a “get off my lawn” joke. Cheney would just shoot in the face.

Taxed Out: Facebook co-founder does not give a ‘like’ to U.S. tax policy, renounces citizenship; Update: #TaxedOut begins
Weird how that works, huh? Words matter and so do tax rates.
Facebook co-founder Eduardo Saverin's decision to renounce his U.S. citizenship is a move likely aimed at reducing his tax bill before IPO.
— Jake Beckman (@jakebeckman) May 11, 2012
An increase in business owners renouncing US citizenship due to overtaxation? Seems that way. http://t.co/JaxLRVIl
— Curt Mercadante (@curtmercadante) May 11, 2012
One of the owners of Facebook renounced his US citizenship. U see, if U raise the tax on the wealthy they will leave http://t.co/M3eiBpzx
— Gabriel Grimes (@GabrielGrimes) May 11, 2012
More from Bloomberg:
Renouncing citizenship is an option chosen by increasing numbers of Americans. A record 1,780 gave up their U.S. passports last year compared with 235 in 2008, according to government records.
Income-tax rates for top U.S. earners will rise to 39.6 percent from 35 percent next year, and rates on capital gains and dividends also are scheduled to rise unless Congress blocks the increases.

“Galt’s Gulch” coming to fruition? But keep talking about Buffett’s secretary, in between $40,000 per plate dinners, President Obama. That’s so helpful.
Update:
Twitter reacts with #TaxedOut.
WOW 1,780 Americans were #TaxedOut of the country #BecauseofObama last year! http://t.co/EbW7TfF1

#TaxedOut We have the highest corporate tax rates in the world. Under Obama, private investment has dropped well below healthy levels.

A Facebook cofounder has be #TaxedOut of the US. What successful person is next?
— Stephen Gutowski (@StephenGutowski) May 11, 2012
RT @collegepolitico: Facebook co-founder faced a choice: pay $575+ Million in taxes or leave the US. He was #TaxedOut http://t.co/ByW3Gi44
— Lachlan Markay (@lachlan) May 11, 2012
#TaxedOut You can tax people only so much. At some point, Atlas will shrug. Individuals & businesses will relocate or stop working.
— Ken Gardner (@kesgardner) May 11, 2012
RT @DannysKorner: That's because our tax structure penalizes profit, restricts innovation & deters use of investor intelligence #taxedout
— DarthBossyness (@StacyOnTheRight) May 11, 2012
Even a 100% tax on the rich would not be enough to pay for what Dems want. But any sane rich person would just leave anyway. #TaxedOut

The IRS Sent This FIVE YEAR OLD BOY A Letter About His Taxes. His Response Is Classic. LOLOL.
They say taxes are a certainty of life, although that isn’t true for most 5 year-olds. However, there’s one little boy who must file an individual tax return for a variety of reasons. So when he received a letter from the IRS questioning several items on his most recent return, his mother naturally responded for him. She received this in return (regarding her 5 year-old son): “Dear Mr. Smith: we don’t recognize Susan F. Smith as someone authorized to discuss your tax file. If you want Susan F. Smith to be authorized to discuss your return we suggest you go online and submit form 8892 and form, etc.” Since the government already had the little boy’s Social Security Number and knew he was a minor, his parents were perplexed. So, they naturally decided that he should write the IRS himself. This is his letter.
Well played, Paulie. Well played.

Orrin Hatch thanks newspaper for saying he lacks integrity and shouldn’t run for Senate again
Um, Sen. Orrin Hatch — did you read the editorial?
Grateful for this great Christmas honor from the Salt Lake Tribune. For the record, I voted for @SpencerJCox and @rudygobert27. #utpol pic.twitter.com/7iFOBK6TWf— Orrin Hatch (@OrrinHatch) December 25, 2017
Because it’s not good:
Um, they said you're a corrupt, power-hungry liar who should step down, did you not actually read the editorial? https://t.co/Kl5cQxgn76— Gary Legum (@GaryLegum) December 26, 2017
It literally says that:
it literally says it’s in recognition of your “utter lack of integrity that rises from [your] unquenchable thirst for power.” it ends with a desperate plea for you not to run for re-election.https://t.co/1zory1qvnZ https://t.co/pKO10TJlTA— Jesse Lehrich (@JesseLehrich) December 26, 2017
Either Orrin Hatch didn't read the article or he was fine with sentences like this one: "His utter lack of integrity that rises from his unquenchable thirst for power." https://t.co/f1ci1MFoIc— Dani Bostick (@danibostick) December 26, 2017
