Hold On To Your Hats (And Wear a Helmet)! The Hovercrafts Have Arrived.

The future is here! Just like out childhood cartoons promised us, we now have hovercraft technology. About time, right?

The Hendo Hoverboard uses a magnetic field that allows it, and a full-sized human on top, to defy gravity and hover above the ground. Despite Earnshaw’s theorem, which says that equilibrium can never be reached between two magnets, the Hendo uses a principle called magnetic field architecture to create stabilized movement. The board can be also propelled forward using this principle, and the Hendo was designed to react smoothly and naturally to the user’s motions.

To be technical, this technology already exists with high-speed rail, which uses electromagnetic currents to float the cars above the tracks, eliminating friction and allowing for a smooth, fast ride. The hoverboard, though, opens up the possibility of using hover technology for personal use, away from set tracks.

[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=plwX5NtF530]

Due to its operation, the Hendo requires a non-ferromagnetic surface to work–that means roughly, no transitional metals. Because of this, the creators of Hendo have also designed a special “hoverpark” as a place to demonstrate the board’s abilities.

The board doesn’t soar very high off the ground; think of it more like a skateboard without wheels, only the Hendo would be able to go up slopes with less energy, as it reacts to the surface.

The designs for the top and bottom of the board. The positioning of the foot pads seems subject to change.
The design for the hoverpark, where the hoverboard can be ridden, much like a skateboard in a skatepark.

Greg and Jill Henderson, the founders of Hendo, know that a hoverboard might not be the next big thing in transportation technology. However, they regard the hoverboard, and its hover engine, as the first step in a possible new direction for vehicles and travel. It’s a technology that can be built upon to create more practical applications.

Right now, the hoverboard is still a prototype, and Hendo is actively seeking funding via Kickstarter, and hopes to expand the technology so that it’s more widely available in the near future.

When A Photographer Combines Dogs And Peanut Butter, The Outcome Are Adorable

there is something truly…special about watching a dog try to pull peanut butter through the roofing of his / her mouth. From the one hand, your dog is relishing in flavor, but he or she most likely additionally seems some betrayed that there surely is much work a part of getting all of that goodness.

Fortunately, however, that sloppy dedication always prevails, as well as in the finish, they’re going to lick up all that peanut butter…even if it indicates looking like a dummy while carrying it out. One photographer, in particular, shot some tongue-smacking pictures and put together all of them into an adorable brand-new book.

Greg Murray is a Cleveland-based photographer whom works closely with neighborhood animal shelters and focuses on using pictures of pets.

His most well-known work thus far might-be “When it comes to Love Of Peanut Butter,” a series which catches puppies thoroughly enjoying a spoonful associated with tasty nut-based paste.

Murray informed ViralNova that he got the concept when he and his fiancée Kristin rescued a mastiff called Bailey. Murray adored getting Bailey all drooly (while they have a tendency to do) and take pictures.

He discovered the ultimate way to try this was to give this lady just a little peanut butter!

“So. Great.”

encouraged by Bailey, he began photographing his customers’ pooches eating peanut butter too!

as an element of Murray’s process, the dogs are merely provided a couple of spoonfuls — way too much peanut butter is not beneficial to puppies.

then he takes 25-75 pictures of this dog’s desperate attempts to lap up all of that deliciousness.

He claims that some of the dogs have actually trouble sitting still, but the majority of times, “they may be therefore dedicated to the peanut butter, that perhaps the many fidgety puppies remain put until they’re done.”

Murray stresses that he just allows puppies digest peanut butter that doesn’t include Xylitol, that will be harmful to pups.

Since Friday, Murray need photographed over 125 dogs for this task. All those pictures among others are available in his upcoming book For the passion for Peanut Butter: a photograph Booth. To see a lot more of Murray’s work, go to their website. Truth be told there, you can also commission him to photograph your pets, weddings, and occasions! It’s also wise to follow him on Instagram.

Absurd bias: Journo swoons over Jeb Bush, says MSM can help him win

http://twitter.com/#!/MelissaTweets/status/453130572710162432

And oh how true that is. “Game Change” author and TIME Senior Political Analyst Mark Halperin admitted it Monday morning.

http://twitter.com/#!/JayCaruso/status/453145989231038464

No, really. He said that: “Huge MSM support of Jeb Bush on immigration can help him win.”

http://twitter.com/#!/MarkHalperin/status/453122697896423424

Dude.

http://twitter.com/#!/liars_never_win/status/453131094762606595

It’s unbelievable, yet totally believable at this point. Also note the sneering condescension in Halperin’s statement.

http://twitter.com/#!/NoahWehrman/status/453134738036109312

Yep. Contrary to the opinion of Better Than You journos, we aren’t idjits.

Halperin continued his lapdoggery:

Bam.

Ding, ding, ding!

Truth. Boom.

But, hey, at least there is this:

So, kudos Halperin for admitting the truth, albeit unintentionally.

You won’t believe what Denver Post called Phil Robertson of ‘Duck Dynasty’

http://twitter.com/#!/Trenaway/status/417081637893963777

Hate-speech spewer. Bias? What bias?!

Unbelievable. OK, maybe it is totally believable coming from the Denver Post, which recently scrubbed “socialist” from profile of Arapahoe shooter.

As Twitchy reported, Phil Robertson will be back on “Duck Dynasty” after A&E reversed its decision to suspend Robertson. On the heels of that announcement, The Denver Post tweeted out this piece penned by its television critic.

http://twitter.com/#!/denverpost/status/417012075848679425 http://twitter.com/#!/DavidDenverBall/status/417018894394462208

Seriously. The piece not only called Robertson a “hate-speech spewer, but it also referred to his comments as “unchristian,” “vile” and “bigoted.” Hmm. Taking a page from Piers Morgan’s book, Denver Post? Read the whole thing, if you can. It is hard to get through it due to an immediate and overwhelming desire to flee in embarrassment for the author. Perhaps the most humiliating and pitiful piece of all time? You decide.

While the opinion piece was penned by the television critic, The Denver Post backed it enough to see fit to promote it on its Facebook page.

denver-post-facebook-robertson

That reader comment is dead-on. More comments on the Denver Post’s Facebook page sum it all up:

denver-post-facebook-robertson-comments

And more:

denver-post-facebook-robertson-comments-2

Bingo!

Also saying something? This:

http://twitter.com/#!/KSeefried/status/417053340954947584

That might explain much.

Update:

A Denver Post staffer responds:
