Doing fine? Celebrity president thrilled to have the support of … Jason Alexander

http://twitter.com/#!/BarackObama/status/251104884768772096

What does the celebrity president do when Beyoncé won’t answer his 3:00 a.m. phone call and the Material Girl endorses “the black Muslim in the White House“? He sets his sights a little lower and flaunts the coveted George Costanza endorsement.

Hey, it can’t be all clubbing with Jay-Z all the time.

After actor Jason Alexander swooned over being asked to help out with the president’s reelection effort in Iowa, Obama’s official account retweeted him. Always good to let the nation know you have the support of a B-list actor who thinks Second Amendment proponents aren’t true patriots. Maybe he can do his shtick about Mitt Romney stiffing his church on the campaign trail.

Forward!

Shudder: Filthy Filner will cling to his mayorship, remain skeezy while doing so [pics]

http://twitter.com/#!/redsteeze/status/360838938069446657

This afternoon, the randy, handsy San Diego Mayor finally addressed the public regarding his penchant for perversion. He conceded that his “failure to respect women and the intimidating conduct [he] engaged in at times is inexcusable,” but he’s not ready to throw in the towel just yet:

http://twitter.com/#!/clairetrageser/status/360845971128729600

That’s right: Filner’s not going anywhere — at least as far as his mayorship is concerned. He announced that he’ll be entering a two-week “rehab” program to come to terms with his failings and “become a better person.”

http://twitter.com/#!/10NewsPhillips/status/360841902981017600

Now, few people are convinced that two weeks of vaca- er, rehab will rid Filner of his fondness for harassing women:

Maybe there’s a chance the therapists can do something about this:

http://twitter.com/#!/SonnyBunch/status/360838937301893121

The horror!

Eagles’ Riley Cooper taking leave from team; Larry Elder has questions

http://twitter.com/#!/AdamSchefter/status/363331593806422018

A video from June which shows Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Riley Cooper using the “N-word” while attending a concert recently made the rounds and raised eyebrows, not to mention tempers. Cooper has since apologized and been fined by the team.

Both Riley and the Eagles have released statements:

http://twitter.com/#!/Eagles/status/363330926442328064

Seemingly unaware that it’s technically none of his business, Philadelphia’s mayor is saying Riley shouldn’t get off too easy:

http://twitter.com/#!/ProFootballTalk/status/363390128086990848

We should add that to date in 2013 there have been 145 homicides in Philadelphia, so Riley Cooper’s language, while offensive and uncalled for, is far from the worst thing to happen to the City of Brotherly Love this year.

Given the nature of the kinds of things that happen in sports on a fairly regular basis, talk host Larry Elder was perplexed by the seeming extra scrutiny on Riley Cooper and asked several questions via his Twitter feed:

http://twitter.com/#!/larryelder/status/363346200524623873 http://twitter.com/#!/larryelder/status/363352592908156929 http://twitter.com/#!/larryelder/status/363353828537544704 http://twitter.com/#!/larryelder/status/363355705836699651 http://twitter.com/#!/larryelder/status/363374107435347969

We’ll close with some more perspective:

Obama declares he lost Egypt as ally; Even Luke Russert slams

http://twitter.com/#!/jdbalart/status/246051827718688769

President Obama didn’t just shamefully hit up Sin City while four Americans lay dead after embassy attacks. He also uttered sickening comparisons and took to Telemundo to throw away a 30 year allied relationship. No, really.

Serious ?: If the president of the United States says Egypt is not an ally, how long can annual multibillion aid package be sustained?

— John Podhoretz (@jpodhoretz) September 13, 2012

RT @BuzzFeedAndrew: ! MT @AnthonyNBCNews: In exclusive @BarackObama tells @jdbalart "I don't think that we would consider (Egypt) an ally"

— Guy Benson (@guypbenson) September 13, 2012

RT @DrewMTips: So Obama just wrote off a 30 year strategic alliance but hey, lets get back to the timing of Romney's statement.

— Cuffé (@CuffyMeh) September 13, 2012

This is HUGE—> "Obama Admits He Lost Egypt as American Ally" http://t.co/vWPQicjl

— Monica Crowley (@MonicaCrowley) September 13, 2012

Obama says Egypt not an ally. NBC chief foreign correspondent so stunned he almost has to sit down. http://t.co/6RL4y2fx

— Andy Lancaster (@andylancaster) September 13, 2012

That’s right. In an interview with Telemundo last night in Vegas, baby, Vegas, President Obama admitted to losing Egypt as an ally. He declared, on Telemundo, that the U.S. would no longer consider the Egyptian government an ally, “but we don’t consider them an enemy.”

Breitbart.com has more. Even MSNBC was forced to express disbelief.

This morning, on MSNBC of all places, NBC’s chief foreign correspondent Richard Engel obviously didn’t get the memo about protecting The One throughout this crisis and hammered Obama over losing one of three allies America has in the Middle East (Saudi Arabia and Israel being the other two):

CHUCK TODD: I just want to get your first reaction, before you give me a report, of the President saying Egypt was not an ally or an enemy.

RICAHED ENGEL: Yeah, I almost had to sit down when I heard that.  For the last forty years, the United States has had two main allies in the Middle East — Saudi Arabia and Egypt, the other ally in the Middle East being Israel.  For the President to come out and say, well, he’s not exactly sure if Egypt is an ally any more but it’s not an enemy, that is a significant change in the perspective of Washington toward this country, the biggest country in the Arab world.  It makes one wonder, well, was it worth it?  Was it worth supporting the Arab Spring, supporting the demonstrations here in Tahrir Square, when now in Tahrir Square there are clashes going on behind me right in front of the US embassy?

You know what would surely not be worth it? Another four years of this hot mess of a president. Unbelievable. Besides Israel, the United States has two allies in the middle east: Egypt and Saudi Arabia. President Obama’s “smart diplomacy” lost us one of them. And he irresponsibly announced it on Telemundo. Funny what happens when he is off teleprompter, huh?

Citizens are, of course, outraged. And where is the rest of the media?

If we don't consider Egypt an ally or an enemy, what do we consider them then? An allemey? An enelly? Obama foreign policy = FUBAR

— LittleMissRightie (@LilMissRightie) September 13, 2012

Can we stop giving them billions? RT @samsteinhp: Obama to Telemundo on the Egyptian govt.: "I don't think we consider them an ally…."

— Kirsten Powers (@KirstenPowers) September 13, 2012

3) Obama just called Egypt, a country that used to be a significant ME ally, not an ally. Huge blunder.

— AG (@AG_Conservative) September 13, 2012

RT @gnuseibeh: Obama saying that Arab world's largest country is no longer a US ally is a big turning point, for both countries. #Egypt

— Shadi Hamid (@shadihamid) September 13, 2012

We threw our ally Mubarak overboard and Egypt is now our enemy. Great going Obama–Israel is in trouble.

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) September 13, 2012

you're giving taxpayer money to a country (egypt) that you yourself acknowledges as neither an ally or an enemy?! #Obama

— B (@Blynbrady) September 13, 2012

Pure guess but I'd bet there were a lot of people at State and DoD who said, "Whaaaaaat?" upon hearing Obama's "Egypt not an ally" statement

— DrewMTips (@DrewMTips) September 13, 2012

Obama's kneejerk reaction to polls is to declare Egypt "no longer an ally" so… why the Billions in subsidies? "Smart Diplomacy" #FAIL

— DANEgerus (@DANEgerus) September 13, 2012

I hope the press doesn't ask why Obama reversed 33 years of American policy by saying Egypt is not an ally. That would be beyond the pale

— Noah Rothman (@NoahCRothman) September 13, 2012

Heh. Of course it would! They real issue is Romney’s statement and all.

Obama announces Egypt, a 30yr strategic ally in most volatile region, isn't an ally and Romney is the story @mmurraypolitics ?

— DrewMTips (@DrewMTips) September 13, 2012

Absurd. The press has reached rock bottom and are at risk of plummeting through the earth’s mantle.

Obama's gaffe-laden week goes pretty much unreported. FP watchers repulsed by Obama's Egypt slight. http://t.co/N6cGHeNL

— Noah Rothman (@NoahCRothman) September 13, 2012

Here is how junior high poet Rick Klein, head Obama cheerleader, responds.

big implications here – Obama not sure if Egypt is an ally, warns of "a real big problem" if govt doesn't step up http://t.co/FvqQNSz4

— Rick Klein (@rickklein) September 13, 2012

Romney had rougher day, but Obama could have rougher week explaining world events: http://t.co/kM6UEGh9

— Rick Klein (@rickklein) September 13, 2012

Romney had a rougher day. Because, statement. We have truly fallen down the rabbit hole. President Obama also couldn’t bring himself to say terrorist and couldn’t resist a little football spiking. As four Americans lay dead and as embassies continue to be under attack.

Obama couldn’t bring himself to say “terrorists” just now. #tcot

— RB (@RBPundit) September 13, 2012

Kind of odd for Obama to spike the football again in Vegas, you know with 4 dead Americans on their way home and all.

— DrewMTips (@DrewMTips) September 13, 2012

And credit where it’s due. Luke Russert rounds out the horrifying Egypt statement with some good, old-fashioned snark.

#Present RT: @NBCFirstRead: Obama: Egypt not an ally of US, but not an enemy http://t.co/8U6RoYqf

— Luke Russert (@LukeRussert) September 13, 2012

Indeed. Voting present, once again. The middle east is in turmoil and President Obama is throwing out statements like he isn’t sure if Egypt is an ally, all willy-nilly. Decades of diplomacy down the drain. That’s what Obama calls smart?

3:00 a.m. phone call fail. Again.

Unreal: Barrycades block Flight 93 National Memorial

http://twitter.com/#!/DaveStroup/status/389185486230941696

This weekend’s Million Veteran March in Washington, D.C., brought attention to the closure of the nation’s open-air war memorials and other monuments, but another memorial has been quietly “Barrycaded” as well. WPXI reminds us that the open-air Flight 93 National Memorial near Shanksville, Pa., has been closed off to the public as well since the shutdown began.

Much as one family did at a closed national park, someone left a return message at the gate, although whoever tried to write “Obama Sucks” at the top seems to have run low on ink.

Michael Ian Black uses murder/suicide that left a baby dead to make NRA ‘joke’

http://twitter.com/#!/michaelianblack/status/323809097197699072

How absolutely revolting. Actor/comedian Michael Ian Black slipped his despicable ghoul suit back on today. Suicide/murders? So hilarious! The suicide/murder that he is using for his “joke” involved a NYPD officer, her husband and her one-year-old baby.

But, hey, Michael Ian Black has yuks to try to collect.

https://twitter.com/michaelianblack/status/323805357447200768

He’s referring to the man who shot himself at NASCAR’s NRA 500 this weekend. Like other deplorable gun-control advocates, his response to someone’s death is snark.

A twisted Twitter follower weighs in.

https://twitter.com/LadyDorian/status/323815108411273217

Awful.

https://twitter.com/Pat_DeCola/status/323805547457548288

Beyond not cool. Absolutely reprehensible. Morally bankrupt much, Mr. Black?

https://twitter.com/eddie_curious/status/323810078866169856

Alas, Mr. Black has no shame at all.

https://twitter.com/michaelianblack/status/323812602570502144

And it looks like he is going to keep digging until he reaches the earth’s mantle.
