‘American Idol’ viewers still wondering: Why is Harry Connick Jr. so orange? Or yellow?

New “American Idol” judge Harry Connick Jr. has won raves for his music theory expertise and fresh injection of energy on the talent show’s panel. But as Twitchy noted a few weeks ago, many admirers are alarmed by his rather unnatural color.

Tonight, inquiring minds still wondered: Why so orange, Harry? Or yellow? Scary!

The new bipartisanship? Priorities!

My friend @SenJohnMcCain and I agree on the #Pacquiao decision. Here were my remarks from yesterday http://t.co/6gHhHMPZ

— Senator Harry Reid (@SenatorReid) June 13, 2012

Twitter users aren’t fans of this new “bipartisanship.”

@SenJohnMcCain @SenatorReid Great use of public money, investigating boxing. Get a real job, buddy.

— Richard Friedman (@rcfwilmette) June 13, 2012

@SenJohnMcCain @senatorreid John, dude, let Harry waste public time and money on bs alone. Cross that aisle for more important things.

— MikeyLikey (@MikeyLikeyMikey) June 13, 2012

Touré adds ‘crime’ to Big Book of Racial Code Words

http://twitter.com/#!/jtLOL/status/244470796263763968

Did you guess “race”? Touré has a new Time magazine column he’d like you to read right away, or at least when you get home from your abortion procedure. You see, Touré has found a new racial code word: crime.

RT @grayswindell: The racial code of presidential politics | http://t.co/PXMtKM3v

— Touré (@Toure) September 8, 2012

It’s a curious argument, really. Touré is simultaneously upset that politicians use “crime” as classic code language for “black” while at the same time he acknowledges that the subject “hasn’t cropped up in this election yet.”

The title of the Time piece is, “How to Read Political Racial Code.” That shouldn’t be a challenge for anyone keeping up with the news, as Michelle Malkin has already put together “The Condensed Liberal Handbook of Racial Code Words,” highlighting new entries such as “angry,” “chair,” “Chicago,” “golf” and “kitchen cabinet.

“Do Democrats use racial code?” asks the man who invented the word niggerization, and then answers his own question without hesitation: “No. The Democratic party is a racially diverse coalition,” while “the GOP paddles furiously trying to stay viable as an all-white party.” We could argue that the highlights of the Republican National Convention (and passed over for coverage by Touré’s own MSNBC) were delivered by minority speakers such as Mia Love and Marco Rubio, while liberals reacted with slurs like “house nigger” and “Uncle Tom.”

Does he know he sounds like a parody of a dimwitted lib? Funny column. MT @jtLOL Hey, @Toure has a new column. http://t.co/VELCjm6F

— Craig Good (@clgood) September 8, 2012

Here we go again Toure makes another ignoramus comments GOP all white party. What a fkn this guys is. #MSNBC #Toure #GOP

Once again…liberals prove it's they who are racists!—MSNBCs Touré claims 'crime' is racial code #tcot #Ccot #teaparty http://t.co/rRWjdWK1

— Steve Grishka (@sgrishka) September 8, 2012

@hboulware The fact that anyone wld consider "crime" a racist word is projection of the highest order. @toure

— Maximus Drive (@dphaw) September 8, 2012

So if "Crime" is a racist code word then every single law enforcement agency on the planet is racist for using it?! Really @Toure Really?!?!

— Heather (@hboulware) September 8, 2012

@jtLOL McGruff The Crime Dog is one racist SOB @Toure @TIMEIdeas

— Jay Caruso (@JayCaruso) September 8, 2012

Crime dog? As in, dog whistle? RACIST!!!

April 20: Cannabis Day, the Columbine massacre, and Hitler’s birthday

http://twitter.com/#!/ScottyGergelis/status/193097593558024192

Today potheads all over the country (except students at the University of Colorado, Boulder) will joyfully light up a joint to celebrate National Weed Day. But this day isn’t just about marijuana. It’s also the 13th anniversary of the Columbine massacre and the birthday of Adolf Hitler. Naturally, Twitter had much to say about all three events:

#Happy420 to all my fellow stoners!!! Stay positive love life and smoke good!!! #SALUTE

Today is Hitler's Birthday… What do you get the man who has killed everyone?

— Al Del Bene (@AlDelBene) April 20, 2012

It's Hitler's birthday. Or, as Mel Gibson calls it, "Christmas".

— Dan Anstey (@Dan_Anstey) April 20, 2012

The woman in Safeway's bakery department sounded really weird on the phone after I ordered a "Happy Birthday Hitler" cake.

— Nick Stadler (@Nickadoo) April 20, 2012

Update: Predictably, no one is happier today than rapper Wiz Khalifa.

Related: Some disturbed Twitter users are paying tribute to the Columbine killers.
