2014 will be the 50th anniversary of “Freedom Summer” the huge voter enrollment task in Mississippi specialized in registering black-colored voters during summer months of 1964.  in her own tweet about Freedom Summer, Washington DC delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton made reference to Mississippi Senator Thad Cochran requiring the ballots of black colored Democrats to win his runoff election with tea-party challenger Chris McDaniel.

It’s not entirely apparent exactly what Norton’s point is, but she actually is either suggesting that black voters squandered their unique to vote by assisting a white senator or she actually is gloating within the white senator—who is in fact a racist, because Republican— requiring black-colored voters to win. Anyway it’s the kind of divisive rhetoric we anticipate through the woman.

Perhaps she’s gotn’t realized that the vast majority of your ex celebration’s senators tend to be white.
