http://twitter.com/#!/ontariosmelody/status/298244345457422337

Everybody’s calling me asking if @beyonce really blew the stadium’s transformers. You guys are so easy. Lol

— Sandra Rose (@SandraRose) February 4, 2013

Heh. Following Beyoncé’s half-time performance, the Superdome experienced a game-stopping power outage. Viewers are blaming the pop star’s high-power performance.

I love how #BlameBeyonce is trending. It may just be her fault lmao

— Teesha Monroe (@teesh_22) February 4, 2013

They might as well go home, we already know who’s winning. #GoRavens #BlameBeyonce

— Kelly Augustine. (@MASQUEmag) February 4, 2013

#BlameBeyonce for the Stadium Power Outage. Her performance used up all the available electricity. #lightsout. Welcome to Africa!

— Nigerian Nightmare™ (@Churific) February 4, 2013

Nobody was ready for the jelly, or the power outage it caused. #blamebeyonce

— Andy Barnes (@AndyBarnes17) February 4, 2013

#BlameBeyonce Thanks for knocking the lights out. This is why you can’t have nice things, New Orleans.

— Bailey Ruth (@MissBaileyRuth) February 4, 2013

Even the Seattle Police Department piled on:

This would never happen at c-link…

— Seattle Police Dept. (@SeattlePD) February 4, 2013

“C-Link” is a reference to CenturyLink Field in Seattle.

Guess who actor blames for Foley beheading (Not ‘stands for compassion’ Obama)

http://twitter.com/#!/lovelandnana/status/505892607617421312

As Twitchy reported, blame social media is the new blame Bush, at least according to President No Strategy. However, it seems that actor Eric Roberts, best known as brother of actress Julia Roberts, didn’t get that memo. Plus he’s, you know, cuckoo pants. Taking a page from Russell Crowe’s Obama-swoon book?

Truly pathetic. Seek help, man.

Joss Whedon doesn’t get the whole representative government thing

http://twitter.com/#!/CalebHowe/status/488444228549111808

Wishful thinking.

http://twitter.com/#!/josswhedon/status/488434816137039872

Um… Actually it’s nothing at all like that.

Maybe spend some of those “Firefly” or “Avengers” royalties on a civics class, Joss. (A book on basic logic might not hurt either.)

She played a mental health professional, sort of. So she’s an expert, sort of.

Good question.

No uterus. No right to talk about it. Or something.

We can only assume that Joss Whedon and his adoring fans would agree that poor people should have no vote on what tax rates the wealthy have to pay.  And surely anyone who can’t define what an “assault weapon” is  shouldn’t be allowed to vote on whether to ban them. And unless someone has access to and understands every scrap of military intelligence, they should not have any say on national security issues, right?

Comedian Hannibal Buress called Bill Cosby a ‘rapist’ [video]

http://twitter.com/#!/sirmitchell/status/524428892896239616

At a show in Philadelphia last week, comedian Hannibal Buress went after comedy legend Bill Cosby for Cosby’s lecturing of African-Americans on cultural issues while at the same time dodging,  multiple allegations of sexual assault over the past decade. Here’s the transcript of the bit, via Vulture:

Thirteen? And it’s even worse because Bill Cosby has the fucking smuggest old black man public persona that I hate. Pull your pants up, black people. I was on TV in the ’80s. I can talk down to you because I had a successful sitcom. Yeah, but you raped women, Bill Cosby. So, brings you down a couple notches. I don’t curse on stage. Well, yeah, you’re a rapist, so, I’ll take you sayin’ lots of motherfuckers on Bill Cosby: Himself if you weren’t a rapist. …I want to just at least make it weird for you to watch Cosby Show reruns. …I’ve done this bit on stage, and people don’t believe. People think I’m making it up. …That shit is upsetting. If you didn’t know about it, trust me. You leave here and Google ‘Bill Cosby rape.’ It’s not funny. That shit has more results than Hannibal Buress.

Tough words from Buress, and not very accurate. Yes, there are multiple allegations against Cosby, but there have been no charges filed in any of the incidents.

The response to Buress on Twitter, however, has been quite positive:

And here’s video of the remarks:
