On the heels of Mets pitcher Johan Santana throwing the franchise’s first no-no, Florida Gator sophomore Jonathon Crawford hurled his own in a 4-0 victory over Bethune-Cookman in an opening-round game of the College World Series.
Crawford allowed just one walk, striking out five to complete the eighth no-hitter in school history and first since 1991.
According to @CJonesScout – the most impressive stat in UF's Jonathan Crawford's no-hitter last night – he hit 98 mph in 9th inning. Wow.
