What Should You Do Or Say When Someone You Love Has A Scary Diagnosis?

Words can be hard to find when someone is waiting for results or is about to start serious medication. What’s the best way to help those you love?

1. Your health is easy to forget when you have it.

Fox

2. Until one day, you or a loved one aren’t sure about your well-being. You might have to wait for a diagnosis.

3. Or maybe there’s a scary one, and you have to get more tests or start treatment.

4. When someone you know might be or is sick, all you want to do is comfort them, but maybe you don’t know how.

Snort! Jesse Jackson’s mic cut as March on Washington speech runs long

Thousands are gathered in Washington, D.C., today for an Al Sharpton-organized rally and march. As the 50th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s “I Have A Dream” speech draws near, they’re descending on the National Mall to “turn the heat up on voter rights, on jobs and on justice.”

But Rev. Jesse Jackson had a bit of ice-cold water tossed on him while he was turning up that heat.

See ya! Just like the other speakers, Jackson was limited to two minutes. Evidently, running long is “frowned upon.”

That time limit seems pretty equal to us, but some weren’t thrilled with the mic-cut.

Maybe they should have cut the mic after one minute:
