He’s Been Called The Da Vinci of Barista Coffee Art. You Need To See Why.

Coffee artist Michael Breach has been making a name for himself for the intricate designs in his lattes and for his quirky sense of humor on his Instagram. Breach began doing these pieces of latte art while working the night shift as a barista. Because he had so few customers he would pass the time getting insanely good at making faces and things out of coffee milk and cream. Breach estimates he’s done over 400 different customizable lattes, and even does portraits by request! Let’s get caffeinated, ya’ll!

This Poor Boy Got Burns All Over His Body After Taking Over-The-Counter Medication

In June 2014, Laura and Ronnie Cabales were shocked and terrified at the way their 10-year-old son Xander reacted to an over-the-counter pain medication.

They gave him some ibuprofen after noticing he had a fever, but what happened next made them wish he’d never taken it in the first place. While his fever initially went away, it came back full force within a few hours and climbed to nearly 105 degrees Fahrenheit. The Honolulu, Hawaii, residents knew it was time to take Xander to the hospital, where doctors told them he had Stevens-Johnson syndrome, a rare and life-threatening condition that causes people to have extremely dangerous reactions to medication.

The ibuprofen caused the boy’s lung to collapse, made his skin peel off, and gave him blood poisoning, which put him into a state of septic shock. He had to be in an induced coma for three weeks while doctors treated him with antibiotics.

“Doctors said he was the sickest patient they had. He was dying. His skin blistered and burnt and he developed lesions on his body. Touching his skin was like swiping an iPhone. The lightest touch would see layers of it come off in your hand. He was blistering, peeling, burning from the inside out. It was devastating,” Laura said. His breathing tube even had to be stitched to the inside of his mouth because his skin was peeling so fast.

He woke up about a month after taking the medication and has since recovered, but the condition didn’t leave him unscathed. He is effectively blind and has to wear sunglasses outdoors and around bright lights to prevent him from losing what’s left of his eyesight.

When a 13-year-old girl in Knoxville, Tennessee, began talking to another girl of the same age online, she had no idea that “Vicky” was actually a 26-year-old man named Justin Kyle Phelps.

The two talked on Facebook about modeling, but their conversations eventually grew to include sex. As Phelps was grooming the teenager, he started bringing up oral sex and told her that he knew a teenage boy who could show her how to do it. That’s when he sent her a friend request from another fake profile of a 17-year-old boy named “Justin Meh.” On February 12, after her mother caught him trying to climb through her window, the girl told her parents about their inappropriate conversations.

Her parents decided that, instead of getting the police involved, they would pretend to be their daughter and lure him to their house once again. The plan worked, and when he climbed through the window, he saw her father holding a gun.

Phelps ran away but was later arrested in March when investigators from the Knoxville Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force used a fake Facebook profile to lure him to another meeting point. As it turns out, he is a convicted sex offender who was found guilty on another case in 2011. For more information about this story, check out the video below.

Alice Walton, political reporter for KPCC radio, says that Sandra Fluke might have her eye on Rep. Henry Waxman’s seat, now that the congressman has announced his retirement after 40 years in Congress.

Courtesy of Rush Limbaugh, Fluke certainly has name recognition going for her. She’s known as a women’s rights activist, but how would she approach nuts-and-bolts tasks like budgeting?
