Filmmaker Leslee Udwin recently wrapped up interviews with one of the four men convicted of raping and murdering a 23-year-old woman in 2012.
update
A Delhi court on Tuesday instructed police to prevent the broadcast and publication of India’s Daughter in India, BBC reported. The filmmakers responded that halting the broadcast of their documentary amounts to a violation of freedom of expression. “Housework and housekeeping is for girls, not roaming in discos and bars at night doing wrong things, wearing wrong clothes. About 20% of girls are good,” he continued. “When being raped, she shouldn’t fight back. She should just be silent and allow the rape. Then they’d have dropped her off after âdoing her’, and only hit the boy.”

The scary thing isn’t what the Delhi rapist said. The scary thing is that most of the country agrees to every word he said.

The Delhi rapist’s reported comments to BBC are no different from the average citizen’s views on rape. Why r ppl surprised? #Delhigangrape

As Twitchy reported, Secretary of State John Kerry promised this morning that the U.S. attack on Syria will be “unbelievably small.” Sen. John McCain tweeted that those comments are “unbelievably unhelpful.”
At least one journalist (Washington Post foreign affairs blogger Max Fisher) is beginning to wonder whether Kerry believes what he is saying.

A Los Angeles Times reporter tried to get in touch with the nurse not long after her name was released to the public:
@Nina_Pham hoping to reach you please call 213-265-8572
— Molly Hennessy-Fiske (@mollyhf) October 12, 2014
Requests were made to give Pham a break:
@mollyhf @Nina_Pham You must be kidding. Poor girl is sick and in hospital. Leave her alone
— Conway (@wpxstar) October 13, 2014
@wpxstar @mollyhf @Nina_Pham couldn't agree more. This is disgusting.

Here’s the despicable racist tweet that got University of North Alabama player, Bradley Patterson, kicked off his team:
The tweet was brought to the University’s attention after it was highlighted by Deadspin.
Within the past several hours, Patterson deleted his Twitter account.
Goodbye and good riddance:
Good bye #BradleyPatterson, you racist a-hole who won’t be playing football any longer. #justice inquisitr.com/441841/bradley…
— Jake Zukowski (@jakez) December 17, 2012
Let this be a lesson to all who use Twitter to air racial rubbish! You will go the way of #BradleyPatterson . Shut down. From grace 2 grass!
— Toyebi Adedipe (@toyebi) December 17, 2012
But as T. Becket Adams points out, not all racial rubbish and hate-monger on Twitter is treated equally.
@buzzfeedandrew Equally abhorrent things have been said about @michellemalkin and @realstaceydash (1/2)
— T. Becket Adams (@BecketAdams) December 17, 2012
@buzzfeedandrew But I’m not sure why now you’ve decided to highlight the awful things people say on Twitter. (2/2)
