Human Fetuses Found in Luggage at Miami Airport

From WPIX:

Customs agents at Miami International Airport made a disturbing discovery in a piece of luggage — human remains apparently for use in a Santeria ritual.

According to Miami-Dade police spokesman Roy Rutland, agents found two human fetuses in luggage belonging to two women returning from Havana, Cuba.

Police say customs agents spotted one fetus when they X-rayed a clay jar and found the second when they opened the jar.

“The medical examiner made a determination that both of the fetuses were close to 20 weeks and both had been stillborn — they were not viable,” Ritland told the Miami Herald.

According to the Herald, the fetuses were to be delivered to someone in Miami and used in one of the mixed Catholic and African religions widely practiced in Cuba, such as Santeria.

President Obama forgets to stop campaigning, will visit toy company

http://twitter.com/#!/markknoller/status/274293129266483201

Having had Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner today deliver his stink bomb of a fiscal cliff wish list to Capitol Hill, President Obama will take his campaign for higher taxes to the maker of Lincoln Logs and K’nex building toys tomorrow, according to CBS’s Mark Knoller.

Not only is it the K’NEX factory that Obama is visiting tomorrow, it’s also the Tinkertoy AND the Angry Bird Building Sets factory!

President Obama visiting a company that builds building sets? Hmm, there must be a joke in there somewhere.

@markknoller Where is his spending cut pitch? #tcot #tlot #p2

@markknoller hello, obama? the people you need to be talking to are back in washington dc.

— Bitter Hag (@debwilliams) November 29, 2012

Don’t you remember the president’s pledge to “get out of Washington more often” in his second term?

Not on the agenda: a visit to the (former) makers of Buckyballs. At least Joe Biden’s not along to accidentally swallow a Lincoln Log and drive another company out of the market.

Spike Lee’s retweet of George Zimmerman’s ‘address’ making rounds again

http://twitter.com/#!/parva_x/status/355420907470196736

The prosecution has been trying its best to portray George Zimmerman as an out-of-control “wannabe cop,” which has again inspired some wannabe vigilantes to pass around Zimmerman’s home address on Twitter coupled with thinly veiled threats. Making a bad situation worse is that they’re still passing around the wrong address, which director Spike Lee twice retweeted to hundreds of thousands of followers last spring.

That little mixup led to an elderly couple being driven from their home. Lee eventually settled with the couple, but that hasn’t made the errant tweet disappear, and as Breitbart.com points out, with a verdict in the case imminent, the address is being distributed again, and Sanford police have stepped up patrols around the house.

Here’s a screenshot of the most recent tweets with the address redacted, but with the ridiculous #Justice hashtag left intact.

That settlement likely frees Lee from commenting further on the mistake which might have put the lives of the couple in danger. Did it free his conscience as well?
