Here’s the report from NBC Chicago:
Former Gov. Rod Blagojevich entered federal prison on Thursday at the age of 55. When he leaves, according to a Federal Bureau of Prisons record, updated Friday, he’ll be 67 years old. The bureau has Blagojevich’s “actual or projected” release date list as May 23, 2024. That’s a little more than 12 years from now, and in line with federal guidelines which mandate he serve at least 85 percent — or 11 years, nine months — of his 14 year sentence.
If the release date proves to be true, it’ll mean that Blagojevich had spent 4,444 days at the Federal Correctional Institution Englewood in Littleton, Colo.
A lot can happen in nearly 14 years. There will have been three presidential elections. His daughters will be in their 20s. President Jimmy Carter will be 99 years old.
