The long polyethylene strands lock tightly together to keep outside elements out of your pool. Other covers may let light pass through their covers, but our LockWeave also blocks sun light. Without sunlight, algae cannot grow! This is further augmented by the black underside that retards algae growth. ArcticPlex winter covers are also U.V. protected to withstand years of the sun’s harsh rays. 4-FOOT OVERLAP FOR BETTER WEAR! We do not skimp on fabric! ArcticPlex above-ground covers use an extra foot of material-another reason why they are a great value! A 4-ft. overlap provides a better fit, esp. on pools with extra wide top-rails. This extra fabric also takes up some of the slack during windy weather, helping to prevent excessive wear and tear. This cover is backed by an 8 year warranty (1 year full rated) and is navy blue with a black underside.
