TheDemocrats tweeted an Obama quote to commemorate the “Little Rock Nine”—nine black students who enrolled in a public high school in defiance of then Governor Orval Faubus. They forgot to mention one little detail though.

@KatMcKinley Exactly!

— Andrew Christiansen (@ar_christiansen) September 25, 2014

And the selfie. RT@KatMcKinley @TheDemocrats and Obama forgot one small detail here. It was a DEMOCRAT Governor these brave kids defied.

— Meerrettich (@dustopian) September 25, 2014

Yeah, it’s surprising there isn’t a staged picture of Obama at the high school in Little Rock. There must not be any good golf courses in Arkansas.

Have @TheDemocrats become The Audacity of Dopes? Arkansas Governor Orval Faubus, center of the Little Rock Nine controversy was a DEMOCRAT.

— Soquel by the Creek (@SoquelCreek) September 25, 2014

Glad @TheDemocrats are finally coming around to the Republican position since it was a Republican who ensured it against the threats of Dems

— Bread N. Circus (@BreadNCircusUSA) September 25, 2014

@TheDemocrats: Okay, cool. Did y'all forget it was @TheDemocrats that were trying to block the #LittleRockNine from getting that education?

— Jeff Yeah! (@JeffOutLoud) September 25, 2014

#LOL @TheDemocrats Indeed DEM. Gov. Orval Faubus ordered Arkansas National Guard to prevent African American students from enrolling.

— Tom T. (@VRWCTexan) September 25, 2014

@TheDemocrats @KennettDems Amazing how some folks try to "pretend" that Party roles haven't COMPLETELY reversed. DEMS once behaved like #GOP

— Deuce (@NUPEsupreme) September 25, 2014

Hmmm…we must have missed the stories about Republicans using the armed forces to segregate schools.

Charlie Sheen is seemingly always looking for ways to stick it to his former show “Two and a Half Men.” The latest example of this is in a teaser spot for his new FX comedy “Anger Management.”

In the 15-second video, Sheen is seen in an open casket – an obvious reference to him being killed off on “Men.” The narrator then says, “Charlie Sheen died…and went to FX.”

The series, which debuts on June 28, stars Sheen as a former baseball player turned therapist. It also features Selma Blair, Shawnee Smith, Daniela Bobadilla, Michael Arden and Noureen DeWulf.

http://twitter.com/#!/levarburton/status/254248100284227584

Burton, much-beloved “Reading Rainbow” host and visor-wearing Enterprise lieutenant commander, is using a page from Obama’s reality Team and various other whiny celebs and going after Mitt Romney for pledging to get rid of national investment of PBS if chosen. Because the discussion,  he’s already been on warpath. Yesterday, he penned a “special message” about Meanypants Mitt’s crusade against Big Bird:

Have a look at @levarburton's unique message regarding Mitt Romney's responses against @PBS. #SaveBigBird http://t.co/oa2GbZf1

— Reading Rainbow (@readingrainbow) October 4, 2012

On behalf of The united states’s kids, I can’t remain hushed. We encourage you to definitely join me personally in fighting this short sighted and frankly mean spirited assault on our kids. Allow your sounds be heard through Facebook, Twitter, in email messages and phone calls to the Romney promotion plus your votes. Reading Rainbow, Sesame Street, Mr. Rogers, The secret School Bus, Arthur, Bill Nye and dozens more existing and previous beloved programs can’t be sacrificed.

Burton appeared today on CNN, in which he discussed their “outrage” with Soledad O’Brien:

We couldn’t think the person in fact fixed his lips to express that. I took it as an attack on kids, Soledad. It really is an attack on kids which originate from disenfranchised, you realize, history.

PBS may be the nation’s largest class room. It guarantees equal accessibility the wonderfulness that PBS has furnished for pretty much 50 years inside country. Also to callously, blatantly, say that it’s regarding agenda to reduce, is just — it isn’t okay. Because appearance, demonstrably this prospect — and I don’t think that Mitt Romney is a poor man — but i really do think that he thinks exactly what he said one other evening. And I believe that his comment concerning the 47per cent is clearly what he feels.

He also tweeted aside this image of him “schooling” Romney. Because obviously, Mitt simply doesn’t worry about the youngsters and may do with some re-education:

Nearly all of Burton’s followers were thrilled that he’s taken such a vocal stand against Romney and Big-Bird-o-phobes:

@levarburton Good morning, LeVar. We couldn't agree much more with this article. It's awful which he would even point out pulling money on PBS.

— Ashley (@DahliaNight) October 5, 2012

@levarburton I am going to always vote for PBS, NPR, and legal rights for women. This means Democrat.

— DustinRx (@DustinRx) October 5, 2012

@levarburton I must say I don't think Mitt viewed PBS as a kid. If he did, he'd manage to inform the reality and do fundamental mathematics

— MANGL3333 (@RICKMANGLER) October 5, 2012

Young ones won’t have to worry about living without PBS. As CEO Paula Kerger by herself stated, federal money or not, PBS and Big Bird may be just fine.

@levarburton You're an alarmist and you ought to be embarrassed. Both of us understand PBS gets half its $ from gvt.

— Sean Culley (@SMCulley) October 5, 2012

@levarburton I lost value available considering your cnn interview. Romney failed to say he remove PBS, just the 12per cent of fed money among various other

— RogueCmdr (@roguecmdr) October 5, 2012

Washed up #pendejo @LevarBurton feels Big Bird can't endure without federal subsidies… they don't have economy courses in 23rd century.

— el Sooper (@SooperMexican) October 5, 2012

Some believed Burton might use some assistance with his priorities:

@levarburton Exactly how isn’t Giving Tax Welfare to a MULTIBILLION Dollar Corp, an Attack on Kids.. Owing $53K when born is an Attack on youngsters!

— F-ing Traditional (@FngConservative) October 5, 2012

@levarburton No offense to Big Bird, but to hell with PBS! What about those bad young ones having to repay over 16T with debt? #tcot #lnyhbt

— Ted in Tx (@STM8TR) October 5, 2012

This clever Twitterer noticed that Burton has actually choices if he certainly desires to go the pro-PBS stroll:

@SooperMexican If only there is one thing well-off superstars like @levarburton could do about PBS except grumble. http://t.co/43qrJdg2

— Anthony Bialy (@AnthonyBialy) October 5, 2012

Bingo. If Burton values PBS around he professes, he could be absolve to put their cash in which his mouth is:

Collectively, as a PBS supporter, we are able to provide trusted news and premiere children’s programming today, tomorrow plus in the long run. Visit https://www.pbs.org/donate in order to make a tax-deductible gift today.

It’s time for Geordi LaForge to take-off his visor and take a look at their wallet — and reality.
