Dylan Farrow’s ‘palpable bitchery’? Stephen King begs for ‘mercy’ after tweet

Author Stephen King says he has “no opinion” on Dylan Farrow’s allegations of sexual abuse by serial creep Woody Allen. He did, however, reply to writer Mary Karr shortly after she tweeted this question about Farrow’s horrific account.

‘Right or wrong”? King is “stumped,” but he does appear to detect “an element of palpable bitchery” in Farrow’s revelations.

“Bitchery” wasn’t the first (or thousandth … or millionth) word that popped into most people’s heads when they read Farrow’s open letter. But bitchery would hardly seem out of bounds when someone is accusing her father of exploiting and assaulting her when she was a vulnerable child.

Karr defended King from the Twitter explosion that followed.

But her suggestion that he was replying to this tweet of a link about Farrow’s account doesn’t fly.

Note the time stamp of 5:37 p.m. ET. That tweet came after King’s 5:32 p.m. “palpable bitchery” tweet.

King noticed. Whether his tweet was knocking Farrow or someone else for “bitchery,” he responded by blaming his Twitter ineptitude (?) and asking for mercy.

The day following President Obama’s reelection, a pensive Rupert Murdoch seemed eager to find a comfortable position in a political landscape which doesn’t seem that much different, really. Compromise might be tough when opponents balk at the idea of an America split 50/50.

In August, Murdoch had joined with New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg in a push to convince Mitt Romney to campaign on easing immigration rules for Latinos, who are “naturally Republicans,” he said. Murdoch repeated the call today.

Must have sweeping, generous immigration reform,make existing law- abiding Hispanics welcome. Most are hard working family people.

This Has Got To Be One Of The Worst Ways To Die — Poor Spider

Making mistakes is a part of life for people and animals alike, but some flubs have much deadlier consequences than others.

Take the fishing spider, for example. Instead of catching prey in a web, it usually sits right at the edge of a body of water, then attacks when it detects ripples from movement. While it is mostly seen as a predator, it can become the victim of an attack if it picks the wrong spot, like this unfortunate creature.

When this spider walked onto the top of a Washington beekeeper’s hive to presumably stalk its prey, it likely realized that making a sudden movement was the worst thing it could have possibly done.
