18 Epic Thoughts That’ll Leave You Staring Off Into Space…whoaa…

Going to work may suck, but when I was unemployed I way too much free time on my hands. I would do nothing but think (how horrible). Although ever once in a while some star gazing is good for the brain, when all you do is sit around on the couch contemplating the meaning of life and butter biscuits, it’s very hard not to lose yourself.

That being said, if you need a short break from the monotonous void that is office work, here are a few trippy thoughts that will keep things real, man. Like, really real.

I wonder if I’ve ever made a Facebook post that had exactly the same wording as somebody else’s.

Using your computer to look for a new one is like asking your girlfriend who should be your next partner.

You’re the only one who can’t see what you look like, and you’re the only one who cares.

This is the only day since the beginning of time, that hasn’t ended yet.

Would you still call the dirt on another planet ‘earth’?

A high five consists of two people collaboratively applauding each other.

If you had a fast food restaurant that served roadkill, wouldn’t that make it not-quite-fast-enough food?

There are some words that you’ve never said out loud.

Smartphone chargers are human leashes.

Your brain lives in darkness and isolation and creates the world outside its shell.

You are almost always head over heels.

I wonder if there’s a time on the clock that I have never seen.

The only difference between a grave robber and an archeologist is time.

Airlines should have live cam feeds that shows the scenery in front of the planes as part of the choices for in-flight entertainment.

If we could see through everything we wouldn’t be able to see anything.

Surely the man who killed Bruce Wayne’s parents is inadvertently responsible for saving Gotham countless times.

What if Bob Ross was a serial killer, & he painted the landscapes of where he hid the bodies.

Because there’s a period of my life I’m too young to remember, my older siblings have known me longer than I’ve known myself.

Alright blow out the incense. You’ve had your hippy trippy pow-wow, Lebowski, now get back to work!

Why the war on warrior women? Joni Ernst losing women 50%-42% in Iowa

http://twitter.com/#!/iamkohan/status/527415756469063680

Here is the latest polling news from Iowa on the Senate race between Republican and veteran Joni Ernst and Democrat Beatle Bailey Bruce Bailey Bruce Braley:

And an excerpt from the write-up:

Iowa Republican State Sen. Joni Ernst is inching ahead among likely voters in the U.S. Senate race and now has 49 percent to 45 percent for U.S. Rep. Bruce Braley, the Democrat, according to a Quinnipiac University poll released today. Five percent remain undecided.

This compares to results of an October 23 survey by the independent Quinnipiac (KWIN- uh-pe-ack) University, showing Sen. Ernst at 48 percent and Rep. Braley at 46 percent.

Today’s results show independent voters backing Ernst 50 – 41 percent. Republicans back Ernst 90 – 4 percent. Democrats go to Braley 94 – 4 percent.

The reverse gender gap in this race continues as women back the Democratic man 50 – 42 percent, while men back the Republican woman 56 – 39 percent.

Why the war on warrior women Dems?

And in other news, Joni Ernst’s RV killed a deer last night:

No, she didn’t skin the deer silly liberal, but she could have if she wanted to. R.I.P. Bambi.

This Group In Florida Is Rethinking Homelessness. It Can Truly Happen To Anyone.

Florida has one of the largest homeless populations in the United States. According to the 2013 Annual Homeless Assessment Report from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, Florida has an estimated 47,862 homeless individuals. That’s about eight percent of the total U.S. homeless population. Perhaps because of this, Florida is also considered to be the most dangerous state in the country to be homeless according to the National Coalition for the Homeless. Compared to the next most dangerous state, California, Florida had double the number of homeless hate crimes in 2012. This makes the work of nonprofit Impact Homelessness all the more important and difficult. Their latest campaign “Rethink Homelessness” takes aim at harmful stereotypes and tries to humanize those without stable shelter. Their message is to remind viewers that homelessness can happen to anyone. Check out some of the incredible videos from Impact Homelessness.
