Thomas Starzl, Trailblazer In Organ Transplantation, Dies At 90

In this 1989 image, Thomas Starzl oversees a liver transplant treatment when you consider the University of Pittsburgh center. Starzl won a National Medal of Science in 2004.

The doctor, just whom performed altered’s preliminary liver transplant surgery in 1963, fundamentally got the moniker “father of transplantation.”
