As Twitchy reported over the weekend (here and here), Lena Dunham is facing a growing backlash over passages from her new memoir, “Not That Kind of Girl,” that detail what some on Twitter allege was sexual abuse by Dunham of her younger sister.
And now comes news that Dunham has cancelled upcoming European stops on her book tour in Belgium and Germany:
Although The Independent suggests the reason for the cancellations was due to the media storm over the alleged abuse allegations, there’s no confirmation of that at all:
A representative for Dunham has yet to confirm whether the author has plans to cancel any more dates on the European leg of her tour.
We’ll update this post with any new information on the cancellations as soon as we hear it.
