The standard recommended pattern for adult mask is 9\u201d x 6\u201d before seam allowances. I sew each mask individually myself (50 years experience! Sewing is my passion!), so each is individually made. The finished width is approx 8-8 1\/2\u201d. The 6\u201d sides (before stitching) are of course pleated but finished size before opening pleats is approx. 4 1\/2 to 5\u201d. Soft elastic is standard 7\u201d attached but if too long you can tie as the elastic is soft and comfortable. Once mask is opened over your face, (mine anyway) it goes over your nose and under your chin.) NOTE: All finished sewing dimensions are approximate as each mask is individually hand sewn by myself.\n<\/p>\n
