{"id":4254,"date":"2015-05-18T23:45:32","date_gmt":"2015-05-18T23:45:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/twitchy.com\/2014\/05\/23\/rapper-wale-slams-sketchy-harry-reid-for-using-racism-to-make-a-bigger-name-for-himself\/"},"modified":"2015-05-18T23:45:32","modified_gmt":"2015-05-18T23:45:32","slug":"rapper-wale-slams-harry-reid-for-using-racism-to-make-a-bigger-name-forhimself","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/effectsofanxiety.net\/archives\/4254","title":{"rendered":"Rapper Wale slams Harry Reid for using ‘racism to make a bigger name’ for&nbsp;himself"},"content":{"rendered":"http:\/\/twitter.com\/#!\/Wale\/status\/469843989496356864\n<p style=\"color:#2c2c2c\">Yesterday, <a href=\"http:\/\/espn.go.com\/nfl\/story\/_\/id\/10968190\/senators-puts-pressure-washington-redskins-nfl\">50 Democratic senators<\/a> wrote to NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, urging the NFL to change the name of the Washington Redskins to something that isn’t a “racial slur.” Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, who&nbsp;has been calling for a name change for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/news\/2014\/apr\/30\/harry-reid-nfl-dan-snyder-change-washington-redski\/\">quite some time,<\/a>&nbsp;weighed in on the Dems’ <a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/news\/2014\/apr\/30\/harry-reid-nfl-dan-snyder-change-washington-redski\/\">campaign<\/a>:<\/p>\n\n<p style=\"color:#2c2c2c\">“Sure not going to do any harm,” Reid said when asked about the letter. “The NFL has a lot of problems with all the lawsuits being filed against them for their negligence, and it would seem to me that it would make a lot of sense that they should get rid of having a group of Americans as mascots. They’re not mascots &ndash; they’re human beings.
