<\/a><\/div> Dealing with anxiety can leave you feeling hopeless and overwhelmed. If you can feel the anxiety getting to you, then you need to eliminate it. Continue reading below so you can understand how to battle your anxiety.\n\nYou should limit your exposure to newspapers and television news programs if external events have a tendency to increase your anxiety level. It is reasonable to read up on what is happening in the world for a short period daily, but do not dwell on negative stories that are likely to increase your anxiety.\n\nBegin writing in a diary or journal. Some people have stressful thoughts built up and no way for them to be released. When you release these thoughts via written form into a personal journal, it allows your brain to think about present events rather than past or future occurrences which trigger anxiety.\n\nSitting on the sofa and mulling your anxiety issues over will do nothing to rid you of them. Instead, learn of ways to occupy yourself, so you are not focusing on your issues. Creative outlets, such as a new hobby, provide a fun way to keep your mind busy and helps to keep it off of whatever is making you anxious.\n\nIf you do not make a little time to relax, anxiety will become a problem in your life. It’s very important to take some time out each day to do things that help relax you. You should try to practice relaxation on a daily basis for a minimum of 20 minutes for maximum results.\n\nTry to have someone that you can talk to when it comes to your problems, as well as about the things that you are worried about. You need supportive people in your life when you suffer from anxiety. Talking about what is on your mind is helpful in reducing anxiety levels.\n\nKeep a list of things that stress you out. Place things that you have control over, or can change, on one side and put the things you cannot change on the other side. Focus on what you can change and try to quit worrying about the things you cannot change.,\n\nDon’t be around people that stress you out. For example, friends that are constantly negative should be avoided. These people will cause you stress and increase your anxiety.\n\nDistracting yourself can be an excellent tactic when you feel particularly vulnerable to anxiety. Participate in activities that you enjoy, and socialize with others as often as possible. This will cause you to worry less about your problems and it will help you to relax.\n\nIs there something you know of that works to effectively eliminate anxiety? Something as simple as a smile can really make a difference when you are dealing with anxiety. Take some time to think of things which make you happy and for which you are grateful. When you are in the midst of an anxiety attack, think of something funny, such as a joke or situation.\n\nControl your anxiety by thinking about what is triggering it. For example, are you finding work causes you the most stress? If so, perhaps you can ask your boss to work on a different project. When you know what causes the anxiety, you can get rid of it.\n\nNow you have the tools to make a change in your anxiety. Now you have a plan to combat the daily tormentor you call anxiety.
