<\/a><\/div> Anxiety can be caused by many different things. Your life may be full of stress, or maybe your family history has anxiety issues in it. Anxiety can happen to anyone. If you’re anxious, try using this advice to become more relaxed.\n\nIf you suffer from persistent anxiety, don’t be afraid of seeing your doctor. There are quite a few advances in treatments and medication, so there should be something out there that can help you. Given that, make time to see your physician and explore the possibilities to find the one right for you.\n\nPositive affirmations said out loud every morning are a great way to start the day. Say what you want to get done during the day and how you want your day to turn out. Then your goal for the day is to stick to that plan. Focus on the positive emotions that build from success.\n\nFind someone that you trust. Look to this person as an ear when you need to talk about your anxious feelings. When you have reliable people they can help you a lot. Keeping your feelings inside will make you feel more isolated and can worsen your situation.\n\nSet goals for yourself every day. You can keep your mind on achieving this goal instead. This will keep your mind occupied and you will be able to think less negative thoughts that might cause anxiety.\n\nSalt cravings can often be the result of intense levels of anxiety in some people. The craving is the result of the body’s need for the salt. Do not add sodium, which is often responsible for hypertension, to your diet without the advice of a qualified physician.\n\nIf you want to keep your anxiety at bay, don’t let yourself be too idle. If you sit around all day, not doing anything, your mind usually wanders and it might being focussing on your anxiety. Simple things, like washing your car or cleaning up around the house, can be of great help.\n\nLearn to embrace the uncertain. Things happen that you cannot predict and there is nothing you can do about it. Worrying does not help. Instead, you will find yourself unable to enjoy anything in life. Accept uncertainty and become patient with your problems in life.\n\nPractice staying in the present. A big problem that is common to those who suffer from anxiety is that they focus on past issues or future problems. This can cause panic, worry, and other emotions which causes panic attacks. Try to only focus on the task at hand, and that’s how you can keep anxiety at a level you can manage.\n\nDoing things that seem silly, like dancing, can distract you from panicking. When you’re having a panic attack, you need to distract yourself. Do whatever you can, where ever you are, to get rid of those feelings.\n\nDon’t put yourself in stressful situations or around people who make you stressed. Ask yourself why you are friends with such people. These kind of people are just going to stress you out and make your anxiety much worse.\n\nReduce your consumption of nicotine and alcohol. Many people think these substances relax you, but in reality they don’t. Ultimately, though, the chemicals in alcohol and cigarettes can actually exacerbate your anxiety. Instead turn to healthy diet, relaxation techniques and a sound social life.\n\nWhile most anxiety comes from external stimuli, many people do suffer from a genetic predisposition to this emotion. If you think you may be genetically inclined to be anxious, it is important to discuss it with your doctor before symptoms arise.\n\nTry to laugh as often as you can. Laughing a lot helps bring happiness into your life, which helps prevent anxiety. Watch a funny movie or TV show, hang out with funny people, or just read a funny book. Laughter is guaranteed to lower your anxiety levels.\n\nAnyone can suffer from feelings of anxiety. You must know that you are not the only one feeling that way. It’s the first step to making things better. Remember what you’ve learned here. Take a few deep breathes, think positive thoughts, and start getting your life back under your control.","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
