http://twitter.com/#!/DoreenHDickson/status/310803015646994432

Maryland kids will soon be able to eat Pop Tarts in peace.

It's not a gun. It's a tax – I mean, a pastry. "‘Toaster Pastry Gun Freedom Act’ proposed in #Maryland" http://t.co/yyXuhnzeOs

— Pillage Idiot (@pillageidiot) March 10, 2013

A Maryland state senator has proposed a bill that would prevent kindergarten students from being punished by school officials for crafting a Pop Tart into the shape of a gun.

“I just kept biting it/ tore off the top/ and it looked like a gun,” [said] 7-yo.“But it wasn’t,” he astutely added. http://t.co/xhYxgLWTBM

It’s too bad that it has come to this.

Bill Maher admits it: After $700 billion fiscal stimulus, ‘our infrastructure is crumbling’

http://twitter.com/#!/billmaher/status/298245969303183360

Maher’s fans think this is an excellent point.

@billmaher I think it’s a perfect arena to highlight our need to fix the infrastructure of this country!!!

— eleni(@juniper_breez) February 4, 2013

I really like that @billmaher and I were thinking along the same lines about the #superbowlblackout #infrastructure

— Daniel G. (@lovedrugsandlaw) February 4, 2013

Excellent point @billmaher-first world country…third world #infrastructure. J #Blackout #noladark #SB47

— John Alge (@thealg64) February 4, 2013

Twitchy readers probably recall that four years ago, Democrats spent $700 billion on “fiscal stimulus,” much of which was supposed to consist of “public-works projects to repair the nation’s crumbling infrastructure.”

If our country’s infrastructure is still crumbling, as Maher and his readers concede, where did all that money go?

A 7 Year Old Boy Just Died. What One Pallbearer Did During The Funeral Is Beautifully Awesome.

7 year-old Jesse Heikkila fought a long, hard battle with brain cancer. In his short life, he had to face a lot of challenges, but they never destroyed his dreams. Jesse wanted to be a superhero, or a police officer, or maybe even an Olympic swimmer. Sadly, his dreams were destroyed when he lost his struggle with brain cancer before he turned 8 years-old.

Jesse wasn’t your average 7 year-old boy. He had so many hopes and dreams. Because he wanted to grow up to fight bad guys, the local police chief made him an honorary officer of his force.

Enterprise News

The entire Bridgewater Police Department showed up to Jesse’s funeral to pay their respects to their fallen fellow officer.

Enterprise News

The outpouring of support at the boy’s funeral was overwhelming. There were so many officers present, his uncle dressed as Batman for Jesse and the organist played the Star Wars theme for him.

Enterprise News

The only thing people wanted to do was to remember Jesse in the most joyful way they could.

Enterprise News

Bridgewater officer Dawn Savery knew of Jesse’s struggles, so she reached out to officers across the country and gathered patches for Jesse.

Enterprise News

Then, during the procession, the entire town seemed to show up to remember Jesse, dress up and pray for the little boy.

Enterprise News

The entire town of Middleborough, Massachusetts, made sure that Jesse’s funeral was so memorable to honor the special little boy that passed away. It’s hard not to cry when you see just how many people, loved ones and strangers alike, wanted to show Jesse how much they cared. Source: Enterprise News Cancer is cruel and takes so many people away from us too soon. Share this boy’s memory with others below.

Donna Brazile on mandate as tax: ‘Just a little wellness penalty’

http://twitter.com/#!/donnabrazile/status/219814399257489408

Oh, dear. CNN analyst and DNC vice-chair Donna Brazile took to Twitter to opine on the Supreme Court’s Obamacare mandate as a tax ruling. She, too, is pulling the old “it’s not a tax, even though the Supreme Court specifically ruled it as such, wing nuts. Also, shut up” narrative. But she goes one spin better and calls it a “wellness penalty.” Orwellian much, Donna?

What’s the big whoop, wing nutty wing nuts with nutty wings? So you are punished for being well; whatever! It’s not like you are being punished with a baby or anything.

Bless her heart. With surrogates like these, President Obama, who needs enemies? If this is to be the new talking point/spin of the Democratic National Committee, then November is looking better and better!

Twitter users can’t even muster up much more than ridicule.

@donnabrazile …Penalty, tax, mandate – all words suggest 1 more difficulty 4 poor, elderly, middle class. Also, fair is no one opting out!

— Karen Kortes (@auchic123) July 2, 2012

@donnabrazile Nonsense! It is a penalty imposed on those who don't buy health care that they DON'T need.

— David Hogberg (@DavidHogberg) July 2, 2012

Wellness penalty? Lmfao

— Cú Chulainn (@RPtheGway) July 2, 2012

Remember that time Obama got a Nobel for doing nothing? TAXED.

— Cuffé (@CuffyMeh) July 2, 2012

She then followed that up with hilarious irony.

Imagine this? Desperate partisan politicians: “@thehill: GOP lawmakers urge governors not to enact health law http://t.co/V7IcBbWz” shame

— Donna Brazile (@donnabrazile) July 2, 2012

Oh, our aching sides! This coming from a woman who even politicizes the mere mention of Jeremiah Wright by calling it racist and a “hate fest.” Plus, we aren’t too sure she knows what partisan actually means. We already know that she doesn’t know the meaning of shameful.

@donnabrazile You keep on using these two words. I do not think they mean what you think they mean.

— Thomas Aquinas (@LilTommyAquinas) July 2, 2012

Keep digging, Obama surrogates. You are making it so much easier for Team Romney!

Sedition! Some Dems reportedly join Sen. Shaheen in calling for O-care delay

http://twitter.com/#!/baseballcrank/status/393104331034984448

Rut-roh …

http://twitter.com/#!/JohnEkdahl/status/393105017139646464

What’s she done, exactly? Well, she’s asking the Obama administration to extend the open enrollment period:

http://twitter.com/#!/JohnEkdahl/status/392818273269862400

From Sen. Shaheen’s letter to the president:

Given the existing problems with the website, I urge you to consider extending open enrollment beyond the current end date of March 31, 2014.  Allowing extra time for consumers is critically important so they have the opportunity to become familiar with the website, survey their options and enroll.

Further, in light of the difficulties individuals may be having with enrolling through healthcare.gov, I ask that you clarify how the individual responsibility penalty will be administered and enforced.  If an individual is unable to purchase health insurance due to technical problems with enrollment, they should not be penalized because of lack of coverage.

And she’s not alone. Take a look at this:

http://twitter.com/#!/ChadPergram/status/393118445413220352 http://twitter.com/#!/SenMarkPryor/status/393129594015870977

Sen. Joe Manchin is also reportedly on-board with a delay:

http://twitter.com/#!/Hadas_Gold/status/393124525052674048

B-b-but … it’s the law!

http://twitter.com/#!/JohnEkdahl/status/393114625178603520

Or is it?

http://twitter.com/#!/SBroadie/status/393130768827809792 http://twitter.com/#!/amandacarpenter/status/393122103421333505

Sure is funny how that works.

http://twitter.com/#!/BDayspring/status/393130304623640576

Even if Democrats start showing more interest in a delay, they still have a lot to answer for:

http://twitter.com/#!/BDayspring/status/393123590826364928 http://twitter.com/#!/SteveWorks4You/status/393127151823646720

Oh, we remember.

And we can learn from this. Amanda Carpenter, Sen. Cruz’s senior communications adviser, has a message for the Democrats — and for us:

http://twitter.com/#!/amandacarpenter/status/393125049198080000 http://twitter.com/#!/amandacarpenter/status/393125972163043328 http://twitter.com/#!/amandacarpenter/status/393128415768739840

Amen.

This Restaurant’s Bare Bone Design Might Raise a Few Eyebrows. But Wow.

A lot of variables go into the making of a good restaurant. To get noticed and keep the customers coming back, a restaurateur must not only create the perfect menu, but also pick the right location, the right style and the right theme which will set the restaurant apart. Chef Alfonso Cadena decided to take his design of his restaurant Hueso in Guadalajara, Mexico to a whole new (weird) level.

I’ll make no bones about it, this place has a very unique style.

What’re those things decorating the walls and tables? You guessed it: animal bones. Ten-thousand animal bones make up the decor of Hueso.

Even when you know what the interior is made from, it’s still beautiful.

The bones are bright, yet rustic.

Some parts of this establishment don’t even look like a restaurant…but I wouldn’t mind eating here.

No Bones to Pick: Chef Alfonso Cadena beaming proudly in his new restaurant.

(via rsvlts.com)

Despite being a little unnerving at first glance, the design of this restaurant is really cool and definitely worth seeing in person (and I’m sure the food is delicious!)

Meet the U.S. Army’s brand-new laser cannon

http://twitter.com/#!/trumanboyes/status/507999557993914368

Yes, please (not for cooking burritos though):

http://twitter.com/#!/WIRED/status/507974972963581952

We didn’t understand fog could be an impediment to a laser cannon, but it is advisable that you understand.

Here’s video regarding the laser for action:

( function() { var func = function() { var iframe_form = document.getElementById(‘wpcom-iframe-form-4bd52ee62501e62e73c527f9c38d6e34-540b2f10232a7’); var iframe = document.getElementById(‘wpcom-iframe-4bd52ee62501e62e73c527f9c38d6e34-540b2f10232a7’); if ( iframe_form && iframe ) { iframe_form.submit(); iframe.onload = function() { iframe.contentWindow.postMessage( { ‘msg_type’: ‘poll_size’, ‘frame_id’: ‘wpcom-iframe-4bd52ee62501e62e73c527f9c38d6e34-540b2f10232a7’ }, window.location.protocol + ‘//wpcomwidgets.com’ ); } } // Autosize iframe var funcSizeResponse = purpose( age ) { var source = document.createElement( ‘a’ ); origin.href = age.origin; // Verify message origin if ( ‘wpcomwidgets.com’ !== source.host ) return; // Verify message is in a format we anticipate if ( ‘object’ !== typeof e.data || undefined === e.data.msg_type ) return; switch ( e.data.msg_type ) { instance ‘poll_size:response’: var iframe = document.getElementById( e.data._request.frame_id ); if ( iframe && ” === iframe.width ) iframe.width = ‘100%’; if ( iframe && ” === iframe.height ) iframe.height = parseInt( e.data.height ); return; default: return; } } if ( ‘function’ === typeof screen.addEventListener ) { screen.addEventListener( ‘message’, funcSizeResponse, untrue ); } else if ( ‘function’ === typeof screen.attachEvent ) { screen.attachEvent( ‘onmessage’, funcSizeResponse ); } } if (document.readyState === ‘complete’) { func.apply(); /* compat for infinite scroll */ } else if ( document.addEventListener ) { document.addEventListener( ‘DOMContentLoaded’, func, false ); } else if ( document.attachEvent ) { document.attachEvent( ‘onreadystatechange’, func ); } } )();

A reaction to the brand new tool system has been rather good:

http://twitter.com/#!/kevindepew/status/507975265231052801 http://twitter.com/#!/davelucas/status/507976325492396032

We’re uncertain if a war with is Amazon imminent, but yes, we should utilize this laser to attack Amazon’s emerging drone fleet if it previously comes to that.

And it also’s already been noticed that here is the perfect device the eventual war between guy and monster:

Exit question: How rapidly would it be always “degrade and destroy” ISIS?
