A Delhi court on Tuesday instructed police to prevent the broadcast and publication of India’s Daughter in India, BBC reported. The filmmakers responded that halting the broadcast of their documentary amounts to a violation of freedom of expression. “Housework and housekeeping is for girls, not roaming in discos and bars at night doing wrong things, wearing wrong clothes. About 20% of girls are good,” he continued. “When being raped, she shouldn’t fight back. She should just be silent and allow the rape. Then they’d have dropped her off after âdoing her’, and only hit the boy.”
India’s Daughter will be broadcast on BBC Four’s Storyville and India’s NDTV this Sunday.
